Bouquet is a responsive width theme. http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/responsive-width/Responsive width means the layout adapts depending on the size of the device being used to view your site. When responsive width themes are viewed on mobiles sidebars appear below the posts in order to provide as much space as possible for reading.
That means you ought to disable the mobile theme which you cannot edit here > Appearance > Mobile because the theme is a responsive width theme.

In that Bouquet theme the header size is found here > Appearance > Header
Images of exactly 1100 × 180 pixels will be used as-is.
Delete your over width header form your Media Library then create and upload a header image of the correct dimensions.

OK – Maybe something else is wrong. The banner image works perfectly on my iPhone, my laptop with several different browsers but on my iPad the image cuts off. I uploaded the image and cropped it as instructed to the 1100 x 180 pixels.
I did missunderstand the checkout on the mobile stuff and had one on that should not have been but nothing has changed. The image still cuts off on my iPad and looks fine everywhere else.
Help?

I’m on a PC using Firefox 21 and the header is oversized. The lettering on the right hand side is cut off.
Here are my details:
Screen Resolution 1024 x 768
Browser Size 1016 x 550 -
I uploaded the image and cropped it as instructed to the 1100 x 180 pixels.
Delete that image from your Media library. Do not use the cropper. Prepare an image of the exact dimensions specified by the theme and upload it please.

ok I made the image preicisely 1100 x 180
I changed the resolution on my laptop to match yours and sure enough it does not fit. So I”m back to the original problem except that I see now it is not just a problem with mobile.
So….What do I do to make it fit regardless of what browser? I’ve never worked in an environment where the rize doesn’t just happen based on the users view.

It hasn’t changed for me. The right hand side of the image is being chopped off. Did you delete all the cropped header images and the original one from you Media Library, prior to uploading a new image? If you did not delete the images from > Dashboard > Media > Media Library and/or if you used the same file name for the new header image then that could be the cause of your issue.

The ONLY banner image is now EXACTLY 1100 x 180 (Capitals for emphasis only)
This still is not working on my iPad but looks fine on my laptop. I recognize it still is probably not working for you. So NOW what?
I appreciate your efforts!

Hi webmasterstluke,
I’m not running into issues viewing your header. Can you do a screenshot on your ipad of how it looks for you, and post it to your blog’s media library?
Also, for what it’s worth, your header image is currently 1015 x 166. I’m not sure if you modified it since you last posted. If so, please let us know if your site is displaying properly now.
