Is there a way to use a google map widget with wordpress.COM?
-
I got mightily confused by not having a plugin tab, but figured out that wordpress.COM doesn’t support plugins. So I wonder – is there any way to get a google map widget (or sth similar) working in the wordpress.COM framework or do I have to change to .ORG?
To clarify, I want to set up a photo blog and want a map that displays where the photos were taken.
Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can use Google Maps in posts, but I’m not sure it works in widgets, which would remain the same no matter what post you were looking at anyway, so you don’t really want a widget.

Ok, thank you, that’s something to start with!
What I ultimately want though, is a map that shows markers for all photos I posted and links these markers to the posts that include the respective photos. Preferably the map should automatically update (i.e. add a new marker) whenever I post a new photo.
Ok, now that I wrote that down I notice how complex a thing it is. It probably can’t be done without some serious coding, I guess? :[
