Is there a way to use embed code in a post?

i was looking to add some audio from another site (4shared.com). Unlike Youtube I can’t just copy and paste. They provide embed code for the audio.
My question is, can you use embed code in a post? And will that allow playing the audio directly in my post (as opposed to having to go to the site to listen to it)? everything I’ve tried just seems to add the link to the post but I want to be able to stream it directly from my WordPress post.
Any ideas?

It seems like we cannot post a powerpoint presentation to our blogs without doing a file conversion. Is this true? Also, what do you think about the idea of storing the powerpoint presentation in Google’s Picassa and then adding the link to my blog? Let me know…

Or just stick it in Vodpod. That’s a good solution for anyone who hates tedious code parsing.

Vodpod won’t accept files from 4shared. Just tried it. I can’t get panaghiotisadam’s solution to work either. Really, really frustrated.
