Is there a way to use Storify with my WordPress.com site?
-
I am having trouble finding much helpful information on if/how Storify can be used with a WordPress.com site. I keep seeing the same copied & pasted answer in response to any questions about Storify…and the answer isn’t helpful.
Please tell us if Storify can be used with WordPress.com, and if so…what we need to do to set it up.
Thank you!

I’m also having trouble finding information! When I write i Storify and try to export to wordpress.com it fails every time. What to do??

Every thread I have found about this says it can’t be done on WordPress.com. The Storify site says it can be done on wordpress.com, but they do not say HOW and I believe they don’t realize that wordpress.com and wordpress.org are NOT the same thing. On sites using the wordpress.org version of wordpress, Storify makes use of a plugin which of course cannot be used on wordpress.com.

I have tried it. Technically speaking, it can be done, but it looks like hell. Judge for yourselves: http://raincoaster.com/2012/08/24/julian-assange-ecuador-chevron-and-the-greasy-world-of-big-oil/
So the WordPress.com people and the Storify.com people need to get together to either make this work or admit that it clearly doesn’t.

This is what it looks like on storify http://storify.com/raincoaster/oil-assange-wikileaks-and-ecuador
And this is what it looks like on a WordPress.ORG blog (different storify, note): http://lolebrity.net/2012/10/07/mendax-the-wikileaks-personal-care-product-line/
Storify supplies an embed code, which is an iframe not a Flash code, and so cannot be adapted for WordPress.com.
