Is there a widget that can track the number of downloads of a PDF file uploaded?

  Hello,

  I want to upload a PDF file (my book) to the site so that people can download it for free, however, I want to know when and the number of times it’s downloaded.

  Is there a widget / tool that can do that for me?

  There isn’t something like this built in to WordPress.com. You might want to look at services like Scribd which we support embeds from. That would let you upload a PDF and they might have stats for how many times it’s been viewed and downloaded.
