Is there a WordPress expert or guru I could spend some time on the phone with?

    Hi all.

    Is there anyone here in the community who might be willing to spend 10 – 15 minutes on the phone with me? I have lots of questions that have not been answered to the degree that satisfy my need to understand.

    And beyond that, is there anyone interested in customizing a WP installation for me for an appropriate fee?

    If you’re talking about a WP installation, then you’re in the wrong place. You need to go to the WP.org forums, not the WP.com forums.

    Currently I’m using the WP offering at .com, and I cannot figure out whether my version of a blog can be achieved here, or whether I need a customized version.

    I basically want three kinds of blog entries – a public blog like the one I’m running now, a photoblog to take the place of my current non-WP photoblog, and a personal blog that is password-protected. How can I consolidate that into one blog.

    There’s a couple of ways to do this on WordPress.COM. You could post to one single blog, but use Categories to divide them up and password protect the posts that are personal. But, you’d probably be better off running three separate blogs. Lots of WordPress.COM users do so, (kof).

    (Posting your email in the forums is a sure way to get picked up by spammers, so I’ve added a modlook tag to this post to request that it be removed, if that’s OK. Instead, link your username to your WordPress.COM blog and let people contact you that way. The instructions are at the top of this forum.)
