is there an audio player we can use that has control functions & time display

  have you restored the play functions to the audio player.. is there a better player we can use to display the controls and duration times..

  There are currently two different types of audio players available on WordPress.com, as outlined in this help article: http://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/

  The type of player that is shown will depend on what type of audio you are embedding. Can you provide a link to a post where you’re having trouble with the audio player?

  all our audio are MP3 which are in this link: http://smwhome.net/category/audiosegments/

  would like to use the the lower dark one with the time and volume control if possible.. is there a short code for that? .. thanks

  Hi David,

  Yes, you can use that audio player, but it’s the HTML5 audio player, so you would need to use an HTML5-compatible audio format, like m4a. There are lots of online converters, or free software that can convert from mp3 to m4a, if you really desire to use the other audio player, such as Zamzar (http://www.zamzar.com/).

  Once you have the m4a file, you can use the audio shortcode in the same way as you already have, or by following the directions in http://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/.
