Is there an easier way to help invitees get access to an invite-ony blog?
-
I have just started an invite-only blog. Is there an easier way to help invitees get access to it? Right now they are getting the email from wordpress and opening up an account on wordpress. After that it’s a tech nightmare as they try to find my site. Any suggestions? I am getting a lot of complaints and I have a very hard time navigating the site as well.
Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m sorry but the software needs to know the difference between hackers and your family and friends, who have an account and are logged in, and who do have user roles on the blog in order for them to post to it. Registering an account requires only an email address and agreeing to the Terms of Service.
The person will have to register a username account but does not need to register a blog. They can select username account only. Thereafter they will need to click the “Accept Invitation” button in the invitation email. If they are logged into their WordPress.com account, they will be taken directly to your blog. If not, they will be taken to the log-in screen, where they can either log in or create a new user account.
Note that users who create a new WordPress.com account at that point will still need to return to the invitation email and click the “Accept Invitation” button after doing so.
Lastly, there is a built-in spammer prevention so send out only 10 invitations at one point in time and then wait and manage those before sending out 10 more.

Please have those with username accounts log in and post into this thread so they can inform Staff exactly what issues they have when it comes to site navigation and get help to resolve them.
