is there an easier way to see a "semi-private" post?

i search on the forums and this is the closest thing i could find to give access to few folks to view a post:
from topic heading:

Jan 12, 2012, 8:41 AMYou can create a “private” post or a “password protected post”. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/
Protected – The post is protected with a password you set. Any user that has the password can view a protected post.________________________________________
the only thing with “Any user that has the password can view a protected post.” is that:
1) it seems the viewer needs to already have, or register to have a wordpress.com account
2) even after registration (or if the viewer had already registered in the past), after the viewer enters the password for the password protected post, s/he gets a note that essentially says a note will be sent out re the attempt to access the post and that s/he needs to be verified first and to wait for that to happen before being able to access the postis there a more easier path for viewers to view a “semi-private” post?
1) maybe just have a URL to the post that somehow doesn’t get listed
2) be able to enter a password to a password protected post without having to register or wait for approval since the password was specifically given out to the viewerin short, is there an easier way to see a “semi-private” post?
any information will be greatly appreciated; thanks…
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It looks like there are a couple of things in play here.
1) Your whole blog is set to private right now. That means no one can see anything on your site until you make them a viewer. All viewers will have to have WordPress accounts in order for the site to verify their identity when they come to your site. Based on your questions, I don’t think you want this. To make your site public go to Settings>Reading on your dashboard and under “site visibility” choose “discourage search engines from indexing this site. That will make it people for people to get to your site by clicking the link, but will make it difficult for random people to end up there from Google.
2)Once the site is public, you can give each post a password and then only the people with the password will be able to read what you write.
By following these two steps only people with passwords should be able to read your posts, and none of your readers will be required to create WordPress.com accounts.
Let me know if you have any trouble making these changes and I’ll be happy to do what I can to help.
