Is there any free themes that include posts and portfolio on the front page?

    At the moment I am using the argent theme, but I would like to include both blog posts at the beginning, then have a grid below for portfolio, sort of like the layout for the “mood” theme. Does anyone know if this is possible?

    You can prefer to look for another theme offering such features. To choose the right theme offering these features, you may prefer using filters given in the theme library.

    Visit My Sites -> Theme and then choose Grid Layout in layout section and portfolio in Feature section. This will show you themes offering these features. Here is the support document explaining how themes work: https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/.

    Also, if you want to customize your current theme’s layout, you can do a few of the changes with the help of CSS. However, CSS editor is provided in Premium and Business plan only. Hence, I suggest you explore some more themes for your blog. :)
