Is there any reason why I wouldn't have received my confirmation email?

  Hello,

  I am just now signing up for WordPress.com and have not received my confirmation email. I was wondering if there was a reason why that would happen. It has been over 10 minutes and probably closer to 20 since I signed up– that seems a little long.

  Also, the Gravatar thing– is this the only way to upload a picture of yourself to your blog?

  Usually the email will be received instantly but sometimes there may be a bit of delay.

  Having said that, have you checked your folders in your inbox? For example, if you are using GMail, may by the email arrived in Social tab? Or have you checked your spam folder, just in case you email client software is a bit overzealous?

  WordPress.com and Gravatar accounts are linked automatically. So Gravatar is the only way to to associate your picture with your WordPress.com account.
