Is there any way I can merge tags on a wordpress.com blog?

I’m currently trying to merge some tags on my wordpress.com blog. I’ve quite a few, it being mainly a collection of links dating back more than a decade. I can’t find any way to do it short of going into individual entries and editing them one by one.
Am I missing something?

You can’t merge tags in WordPress.com but in a previous topic, it was suggested bulk editing posts. Have a look at the 7th reply:
