  Can wordpress.com be taken away from my URL

  Correct account: Yes

  Hello there,

  If you want to remove “.wordpress.com” from your site URL, you need to be on one of the WordPress.com plans.

  Upon purchasing the plan, you can purchase a domain (includes along with the plan and free for the first year) and set it as your primary address.
