Is there any way to actually get an email address changed

I have tried to change my email address for WordPress subscriptions. It doesn’t change. It shows my change as pending. Pending what?
I have looked in the Forums and found numerous posts about the inability to make email changes. All of them appear to be unresolved, and replies to them all seem to be closed.
It looks like WordPress refuses to make email changes, and refuses to address the problem which has been repeatedly raised. Why? Changing email addresses is not that uncommon. There should be a working system for it.

Which username account and blog are your referring to please? Please post the email address you want to change to here knowing the software will redact it (HIDE it) so only Staff can see it. I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting. -
If you are referring to this site http://billsamuel.net/blog/ then you are posting to the wrong support forum and trying to get an email change via the wrong software. This is the support forum for WordPress.COM blogs only. We do not provide support for that site here at WordPress.COM because it is not hosted here.
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate, have different log-ins and run different versions of some themes with same names. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

I am not referring to my own blog. I am referring to a number of WordPress.com blogs to which I subscribe. I am trying to get them moved over from (email visible only to moderators and staff) to (email visible only to moderators and staff).
And the responses to my post are going to my old address because WordPress.com has not processed my address change.

Exactly which username account are you referring to please? Is it this one? wsamuel If not please post it.

Sorry for the late reply! I see that you sent a request to change the email address; however, it wasn’t confirmed. You should have received a confirmation email at the new address. Please check the spam/Social folder – sometimes are emails end up in there. Once you confirm it the email address will be changed!
