Is there any way to disable comments from all articles on my blog?

HI. I really didn’t want to bother you guys, but I have a problem that has me kind of concerned. I just started a blog and all I’ve done so far is write my “about” page. For safety reasons I don’t want people to be able to comment on my posts, and while I know how to disable them from the blog posts itself, I don’t want any comments *anywhere*. Could you please either disable it from my about page or show me for certain how to disable the option myself? I’ve reread the article on the subject several times and I’m still confused. Please answer soon!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Actually, I might be having problems simply disabling anything. I looked at my discussion settings and I’m not seeing any option that says “allow comments” at all. And I went straight from my blog dashboard and everything. I did, however, make it so no one can post on anything new or post on anything after one day. Hopefully it’ll work for now…

The Support doc is a bit confusing. In Settings > Discussion you set the defaults for futre posts and pages. The second screenshot on the doc shows the Discussion module of the post/page editor (for already published posts/pages). In Settings > Discussion, the options you need to uncheck (in addition to the one you checked) are the second and third from the top:
“Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks)”
“Allow people to post comments on new articles”
