  Is there any way to do only monthly subscription for any upgrade

  Hi there, to the best of my knowledge, all upgrade plans are paid annually up front. There is no monthly payment available. See what it says here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  Personal $2.99 per month, billed yearly

  However, since I’ve recently seen some marketing material that implies that it is possible to pay monthly, I’ve tagged this thread for Staff clarification.

  Can you perhaps remember where? Jetpack plans can be purchased as a monthly subscription, rather than yearly, but I’m not aware of any WordPress.com marketing efforts that mention monthly pricing. If there is marketing like that out in the wild it is most likely in error.

  Hello @kokkieh, thanks for the confirmation on annual pricing.

  Yes, of course I remember; I received an email about this a day or two ago encouraging me to upgrade my new private site. The wording of the email was such that one could easily misunderstand that monthly payment was available.

  I believe that at least 2 veteran volunteers (myself included) have suggested to Staff that the pricing page should reflect the actual amount being paid, which is the annual amount. If it is more attractive to mention a monthly amount, then say something like “equal to US$2.99 a month” or suchlike, but the actual price being paid should come first.

  Given the number of such threads requesting or mentioning monthly payment, clear price and payment terms on the pricing page and any marketing materials would go a long way to reducing user misunderstanding. Thanks.

  The pricing display was a decision made by the business teams after quite a bit of testing, but I agree it causes a lot of confusion, here in the forums at least. I think it has been brought up before, but I’ll do so again. At the very least it might spark a new round of testing to re-evaluate the decision :)
