Is there any way to remove the date from posts headings?

I like to keep my most popular posts ‘sticky’ but it looks weird if the top post is from July! Is there any way to remove public notification of the date posted?

Not without a firm knowledge of CSS and the paid upgrade. What I’d recommend instead is using a theme that has Alerts, like Vigilance. They are undated.

I just previewed ‘Vigilance’ and the date is still displayed under each post heading. Annoying really, as most of my posts are not time sensitive.

Vigilance has an thing under theme options called “alert message” and you can use that to put up announcements and such, or a short bit of info that you want to appear at the top of the post area. You would have to copy the sticky post content out and put it into the alert message field at appearance > theme options.

One note is that it may not be possible to remove the date from the sticky only, and depending on the theme, it might not be possible at all without removing all the post meta data. Each theme is a little different, and in some all the metadata is in one ID or class in the CSS. Hide one element, hide them all.
