Is there any way to report disturbing/inappropriate "Search Engine Terms?"

I was looking at my “Site Stats” today, and found the following under the “Search Engine Terms” tab (for today, 13 June 2011).

i am going to make a 8 year old little hirks to f*** me

The only reason I can imagine this led to my blog in any capacity was that in my most recent post (The Magic Of The InterWeb), totally in passing (in the same sentence as Disneyland, no less), I made reference to the availability of “free fetish porn” on the web. This is not what my blog is about, I don’t discuss things like this with ANY degree of depth or regularity – this search engine result was just really kind of frightening to me.

I know the internet is great because we can all be anonymous, but is there any way to trace this and figure out from whence it came, and if nothing else block the user from ever accessing my blog again? Or is this simply a lesson learned situation, where I discover that even if you fleetingly mention something in a pretty innocuous manner, you have to be prepared for all consequences?

    Any information would be appreciated.

  • As odd and uncomfortable as it seems, someone found your blog by searching for that.

I think you’re on the right track there regarding relevance with your most recent post.

The issue is really with the search engine providers, and you would have to contact them, but more than likely they’ll just say that their search engine is working properly and cite the relevance to the content.

I have had this happen to my own blog before, and traffic from such search results usually dies down rather quickly.

    macmanx,

Thank you for replying to the question I posted. I guess that ongoing I either have to avoid any mention of any subject that could potentially relate to any kind of disturbing topic – in other words, everything – or I have to learn that sometimes these associations are inevitably going to occur, and toughen up my skin some.

I just haven’t had any experience with anything that made me even slightly uncomfortable in the few months since I have created my blog. This term was so especially upsetting because of its content – an explicit depiction of children and sex acts (I don’t have any idea what “hirks” are/mean and I really hope I never find out).

Chalk this one up to a learning curve, it would seem. ~
