Is there any way to unsubscribe somebody?

  I’m trying to help a friend unsubscribe from my blog. He is not registered at wordpress.com and is an “email follower.”

  Is there anything I can do, or tell him to do to help him unsubscribe short of creating a posting just so he can get a new notification with an unsubscribe link?

  You can’t delete him – there should be an “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email he gets – he should click on that – can’t remember if there is much else they need to do or not.

  the only other not really an option would be to get a court to issue a restraining order against the person then server WordPress.COM with the court order – like I said – not really an option

  The other person is a friend. So I don’t think a restraining order would be appropriate. :)

  It’s just that he’s 92 years old and doesn’t really know what he’s doing with the subscriptions and I’m trying to help him.

  Maybe someone could forward one of the email’s and you could try and click on the link –

  The downside to the one side fits all policy

  If it’s ok for me to click the link in an email I received (I’m subscribed too) that would mean I could unsubscribe anybody without forwarding the email, right? Everybody doesn’t receive their own unique link?

  Hi. When you publish a post all of your Followers receive an email addressed to them specifically.

  If your friend has been a subscriber for a while he should have already received an email.

  At the bottom of the email — any of the ones he has received — there will be a link to unsubscribe.

  Everyone has their own specific link in the email – the link goes to their subscription not yours

  Ah, you meant him forwarding his email to me. Well, if he could figure that out he could just click the link himself. :)
