Is there anyway to keep just the most recent post on homepage?

  Hi!

  Is there anyway that I can keep just the most recent post on my homepage?

  Is that considered the featured post or is that something different.

  I use the mystique theme.

  Do you mean that you only want one post to appear, or do you want the post that you published today to always be on top?

  I’d like to know if you can do both :)

  For instance, I’d like my most recent post to be the only post to appear on the home page.

  However, if there’s a way to keep a specific post always on the homepage that could work for my purposes too. Assuming it could be changed manually whenever I wanted…

  To keep only one post on the home page, just change the number of posts displayed at Settings -> Reading in your blog’s Dashboard.

  As for keeping a specific post on top, set it as a sticky post: http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-posts
