Is there something wrong with the customizer?

The theme customizer is not loading. When I click “customize” (in the dashboard), it loads a blank white screen with the sidebar that says “Loading design tools…” — but it never changes after that. I have tried logging out/in, refreshing the page, deleting cookies, using three different browsers, and none of these things have resolved the issue. Is there something wrong with the customizer?

If you use custom design and modify CSS it won’t save if you are using the free account.

You will need to upgrade your account.

@goblincrazy: pforsich is talking about the Customizer tool in Appearance > Themes, not about CSS editing.

@pforsich: This is probably a browser issue, but you don’t really need the tool: it simply brings together various options that are already available via the main dashboard sidebar (you upload a header image in Appearance > Header, set a static page as your front in Settings > Reading etc). What exactly are you looking for?

@justpi, that’s what I was looking for, thanks! I needed to set a static page, and I found the settings you mentioned. Thank you for the help!
