Is this advertising or allowed?

    Hi all.

    I know that advertising is not allowed on WordPress.com, but I just wanted to enquire about this ‘affiliate’ scheme.

    My blog is about football and I feature a page on the gameplay of an online football game called Football Manager Live. The developers of the game have recently launched a feature whereby for anyone who clicks through to them from my page and signs up to the game, I will receive a small commission fee.

    I don’t know if this comes under the advertising ban, because I already link to the game’s site and recommend my readers to play it. I’m not advertising for the game, simply suggesting to my readers that this is a game they will probably enjoy. Obviously if I can now benefit in a small way financially from doing that, that would be a bonus to me, but I obviously don’t want to break the rules on advertising.

    If anyone can tell me whether this would be allowed on wordpress i’d very much appreciate it :)
