  Is the information still accurate that redirects only go to http not https?

  AS I understand it http is no longer allowed on browsers? If there is a new article on redirects please let me know!

  Yes, it’s correct. The receiving site handles the http->https part if https is active. Does that help?

  I am so confused.
  The article says “Note: Site redirects will only point to a non-ssl ( http:// ) url.”

  My new site is a https. Heck so is wordpress.com.

  So if I pay for the redirect it will or won’t work?

  Hi there,

  Yes, it will work if your site gets directed from http to https. So if you are trying to redirect your domain to some other URL, it would need to be with http://. However, if the destination URL loads with https:// (even when you change it tohttp://) then you would not notice any difference since http:// would redirect to https://.
