is this email from wordpress legit?
-
my domain was just updated overnight (payment to ‘automattic inc’), and I received an email from wordpress stating that I need to verify email.
I am cautious of clicking any link these days, and the email is from a do not reply address.
In years past, any verification email from wordpress simply says to log in to my account and verify everything is correct (no links to click.)
I just need to know if the ‘action required for domain verification’ email with the BIG RED BUTTON to ‘verify email address’ is legit?
THANK YOU

Hi there!
Thanks for getting in touch and sorry for the delay. There is a 15-day window during which you must verify your domain contact details including your email address. If you miss the 15 days and fail to complete the verification process, your domain name will be suspended. This is controlled by ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) and you can read more about this process here:

If you have any trouble, please let us know!
