Is this okay while using your services?
-
So I have an adult host for my website (Vice Temple) and I am using the WordPress plugin to build my site.
My plan is to have an ADULT BLOG where I am able to also drop ship non sexual clothing & accessories while also having lingerie, sex toys, and electronics such as webcams and video cameras available (through drop shipping, of course). I would also like to sell adult downloadable products containing my tips and tricks for web cam modeling on my website (non explicit content but sexual in nature). Because of the fact the downloadable product is 100% mine, the payment process of me receiving payment may be different being that there’s no third party seller. I am not sure if you guys allow me to sell such things while using your services. What should I do?
Is is it even possible for me to have an adult blog that is also an online store which sells sexual and non sexual items via drop shipping AND original content?

Your site would be so called Mature Content. To know what’s allowed and what’s not, https://wordpress.com/support/mature-content/
To know what you can sell, take a look at our Store Guidelines, https://wordpress.com/support/store-guidelines/
I also tagged this thread to get attention from Staff as they know exactly what’s allowed and what’s not. -
Thank you for this.
I did already read the content on those links, which is why I opt out of my initial plan in creating a website straight through WordPress.
I thought having an adult host would have been something like a loophole.
No? Is it not?

Hi there,
You are subjected to whatever rules and guidelines each respective host has implemented. It is different from host to host, so I would check out the host’s policy guidelines before committing to them.
Most other hosts are more lenient on mature content of a sexual nature and from what you describe, your site would most likely be fine on WordPress.com as well. However, it sounds like you are going the self-hosted route, so I would reach out to whatever host you’re going to use regarding your site content.
Hope that helps. Let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,

Thank you, Darnell.
But I forgot to mention that I may have adult affiliated links and ads on my site as well.
Also, please help me understand – while my domain name is from an adult host, and this adult host includes plugins that allows me to use WordPress, I am STILL unable to post adult links/ ads, or whatever adult affiliated content I want on my WordPress website (via my adult host)?
I’d purchase a package if need be, being that WordPress was my initial plan. But only if I am able to post what I want and sell what I want when it comes to adult content (non explicit). I don’t want to get flagged or in any kind of trouble with WordPress AFTER putting money into it. You know?

Hi there,
The site you are referring to appears to be a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site hosted on an outside web hosting company Web Hosting, and not a site hosted on our WordPress.com service.
To clarify, we are not the only providers of WordPress sites, and your current host also happens to offer WordPress sites, but they use a different version of the platform than what we use here. Because of this we are not able to help with your issue as it lies outside of our system. See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ for more info.
You can find support for your self-hosted WordPress site here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
You may also wish to contact your host’s support team for more assistance.
Hope that points you in the right direction!

Ooohh. *mind blown*
Okay. That definitely helped me out.
Thank you so much Jerry for clearing that up.
If I could rate this thread, I would. 5 stars!
Thanks again!
