Is this spam?

  someone named Jennifer Buckley left a comment on a post of mine and when I clicked on her name I was sent to a Facebook page. So even tho this looked legit it was spam, right? The avatar looked legit, too, but when I hovered over it there was no info about the person.

  Not necessarily. Visitors to your blog can use their Facebook or Twitter account to leave comments. http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2011/06/07/post-comments-twitter-facebook/

  That said, I have found that the majority of all who used Facebook logins to submit comments to my blogs have been spammers.

  OK, thanks. I’m pretty sure it was spam because the link was not the person’s Facebook page, just a “template” type Facebook page with no info.
