On what site are you working? I don’t see any sites in the account you’re using to post here.
If you create a new free site on WordPress.com, you immediately have access to the more than 80 free WordPress themes we offer at https://wordpress.com/themes/free, so you’ll be able to activate any of them on your site.
We also have a Try and Customize feature in the theme showcase that will allow you to preview a premium theme in the Customizer with your actual content, but you’ll need to create a site and add some content to it first before you’ll be able to use that.
We don’t offer free trials on our premium themes otherwise, nor on our paid plans. But we do offer a full refund on any upgrade as long as you cancel within the refund period, so if you upgrade and find out the plan/theme isn’t what you need, you can just cancel it again.

Our annual paid plans come with live chat and email support included, and our monthly plans come with email support included.
For owners of free plans, we have this forum primarily staffed by volunteers from our community, but the forums are also monitored by our support staff for issues volunteers cannot solve on their own.
