  I saw this under “advertising” in the features tab? Is this true, since when did this happen? Or is it already happening?

  Um I don’t think that is new. I’ve know since signing up that wp.COM sometimes puts ads on my blog and I can pay them not to.

  That is a very, very, very old notice. Do NOT hold your breath because it ain’t gonna happen any time soon, if at all.

  and I read that quote when I signed up about a year ago. I also have heard volunteers here in the forums that it’s been on here for years.

  Oh, okay, I thought wordpress decided to consider letting bloggers put their ads so they can make money. So perhaps that line should be taken out so as not to disappoint future potential bloggers?
