is word division in syllables posible?
-
Hello,
when in editing modus, the text appears different to the final entry. It is only than that I see the automatic word divisions, which are not syllabic and very grotesk. Is there a way to a) tell the program to make only word divisions in syllables or b) to see the real return in the edit-modus and thus being able to avoid or change the word divisions? As I write the blog in three languages I don’t want to add automatic errors to those I already do…
I work with twenty-fourteen.Thank you
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can preview posts before you publish them by clicking the button in the post editor. The problem is your theme automatically adjusts the width of the text column depending on the width of your readers’ screens, so word-breaks you insert for one screen size will not apply to a different screen size.
I don’t think it’s possible to override the way the software breaks up words, as that would probably require access to the base files, which we don’t have.

@artjardines: I told you, it was not change fonts. ;)

? I didn’t ask for changing fonts. Nor did I understand your answer last time, so reading it again – and I did! – is of no help.
I just want a way to write in a justified layout without automatic generated wrong divisions.kokkieh:
Of course I can preview, and I do so! But in the preview mode I cannot edit, so I have to go back – without being able to see the real layout – and change words or include new letters or spaces and preview again and hope that the trick did it. That is not a time-sparing method! But a method that I have tried with many more issues that don’t work adecuately with my theme. Things I didn’t know before chosing the theme, of course.
As I am the first reader of my texts, I want them to appear at my pc without unnecessary faults. I’m not to blame for those that appear on other devices! I could, of course, change from justified to left-bound mode, but this doesn’t look very nice, given the width of the text column.Perhaps some other user knows a working solution?
Thanks!

Sorry my dear, but you did:
one
TwoAnd you were angry a lot, when i said you it was not a matter of fonts.
I understand that you obfuscate because you’re a rookie.
But the problem is compounded when you do not follow the advice of more experienced people (nearly seven years, in my case). I tell you with respect.
And maybe you should read and understand volunteers to help you.Cheers.

Well, don’t bother any more.
In April, I indeed asked for fonts, because I wanted to change to a better looking one. I even apologized for being new to all this and that I don’t speak the jargon computer-freaks are used to.
Now is July, at least where I live now, and I asked how to fix the automatic divisions in my texts. If there is no way to do it, just tell so. If in a blog that syllabling depends on the type of font, then you can tell me so, for ‘in real live’ at my laptop at home and at my pc at work it does not depend on writing with garamond or arial….
Btw, I don’t know what a ‘rookie’ is, and I’m not going to look it up. But your response remembers the spanish politicians, who begin a sentence with ‘ desde el mas hondo respeto’ and you can tell from then on they are going to insult someone in a disrespectful way.
If I knew beforehand that you would answer my questions in the english forum as well as in the spanish, I wouldn’t have asked, for you obviously have some sort of hate towards me since my first ever post.
Be happy.

If I have some sort of hate towards you, i have never answered. I was the only person on the forum that said 3 of your 4 queries. Must be a huge hatred.

@artjardines
I just came across another thread involving the automatic hyphenation of words. Apparently it only occurs in certain browsers and can be overridden by adding CSS to your site with the Custom Design upgrade.See the staff response in the thread here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/help-me-remove-hyphenation-from-site-if-possible?replies=9
