Is WordAds working correctly
-
A little over 2 weeks ago I upgraded my plan to premium in order to get access to site monetisation.
Since then I’ve served almost 20,000 ads but my revenue is incredibly low.
I was just wondering as to why this was. Do I need to wait a while for the site to be recognised people bidding on ads?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Ad impressions don’t necessarily mean earnings.
How much you earn, depends on how much advertisers bid on ad space on your site, and how much they bid depend on various factors, including but not limited to where in the world your traffic comes from, whether the people viewing your site accepted our cookie policy, whether those people are using tracking protection or ad blockers in their browsers, what other advertisers are bidding for the same ad space at any given time, and the current state of the online ad market in general. Sometimes a bid can be less than a cent.
It also happens that no advertiser bids when someone loads your site, in which case we show in-house ads just so the ad slots don’t appear as completely blank boxes on your site. In that case you’ll still see an ad impression, but there won’t be any earnings.
Another factor is how long your site has been in WordAds – I see you were only approved around two weeks ago, so advertisers could still be monitoring and classifying the content on your site and the traffic you receive before they start bidding in earnest.
I can confirm that WordAds is working properly on your site, though – I can see actual ads when I view it, and targeted ads based on websites I recently viewed at that, so at least on my traffic right now advertisers are bidding.
Over time advertisers should start bidding more consistently on your traffic and your earnings will start to increase, but you should know the online ad market fluctuates a lot, so it’s possible to have an increase in traffic with a drop in total earnings, and vice versa.

I have used several advertising platforms, including WordAds and Amazon Sponsored Products. My experience has shown that such programs cannot be treated as a magic wand. They are just tools that should be used skillfully. I have made many mistakes, tried different approaches, read numerous educational books and articles (of this type https://clever-solution.com/case-studies/amazon-store-and-ppc-management) before I started to earn money. Be patient and persistent, and the result will not be long in coming!
