Is WordPress.com right for me?
-
I am looking to create a subscription based website that subscribers will be able to type in entries (like a diary) that is unique to them. The site would be
used as a personal storage and organization tool in large part. The site would give them support on ways to organize and write these entries. Ultimately, I want users to be able to get all those entries back in a clear and professional way through some sort of reporting system. For example, someone could get a monthly report on their entries (or any time frame they wish). I would like them to be able to add pictures or files to these entries as well.I am not a tech guy and I trying to determine is wordpress.com business plan makes sense. I think it probably can support this but I am not sure.
Any help is appreciated!!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @timothyprince3, would each of those users essentially be setting up their own blog? Archives and what not are built in like so:
https://en.blog.wordpress.com/2018/Would each person have their own site address?

The idea would be more aligned with a personal journal setup. The closest thing I can find is penzu.com

For that, I’d recommend the self-hosted version of WordPress from https://wordpress.org/ and its multisite option: https://wordpress.org/support/article/create-a-network/
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
