Is "WordPress Editor" described in support page same as Gutenberg editor?

  • I fully understand your point @musicdoc1 and I agree with you. However, no matter how we may name the old and the new editor people will always come up with their naming scheme. At the moment there are people who work on this and I’ll share your suggestions.

    Thanks, @fstat. : -)

We’re heading into a good ol’ new day, but it’ll be classic.

Yeah! So let’s accept that for most WordPress.com users the formerly Gutenberg editor is only going to be called “the new editor”. That’s ok for as long as it actually is new to people. WordPress.com seem happy to just call it “the editor”. I’m happy to call the /wp-admin editor “the classic editor” but not so happy if the formerly My sites/Calypso editor is called “the classic editor” too. Hence my earlier question of how future support documents will differentiate between the two different older editors.
