Is WordPress for me?

Seriously. I know it’s free and all, and it seems to be working for a lot of folks, but I’ve been trying to get a few pages up for a week – many, many hours – and it is so hard. I think I’m out of my depth, because when I check the forums, I don’t even understand most of what’s being said. Most of my problem has been with photos. I can get them up by using the URL, but then I can’t get them to go where I want them. If I cut and paste, there are big spaces left. And on and on. Is there another blogging site that will let me post lots of pictures without all these headaches? More user-friendly? Thanks.

We can’t help you find another site: by definition, everyone blogging here has committed to WP.com.
Have you read the threads in the forum about image posting? There are several issues and a lot of workarounds.
If you want specific help, please leave a link to your blog, starting with http, and also give us your browser, version, and whether or not you’ve upgraded to the latest version of Flash (on the Adobe site) and performed the Cookie Dance (logged out, cleared browser cache and cookies, and restarted the computer).
