Is wordpress free?

  I have a website with opencart and hosting with ukhost for you. My hosting is paid on a yearly basis. However, when I went to set up a new website in wordpress I just wanted to transfer my domain but wordpress is asking for a monthly paid plan. When i started the wordpress process it said it was free. Any advice would be much appreciated.

  You can have a free site here at WordPress.com that has a .blog or .wordpress.com subdomain for the address. To use a domain you own elsewhere with a WordPress.com site requires a paid plan.

  Just another quick question. If I do set up a wordpress site with woocommerce plugin does the setup configure my current domain name in the process.

  You’d need a WordPress.com Business plan or eCommerce plan to use WooCommerce. Once you’d purchased the plan you’d be able to access Livechat support with staff to help configure your site:
