Is WordPress right for me?

    I have a web site – “http://www.ccusane.org/” and I am looking to upgrade the sight. I am looking for good sold platform that is easy to work with as I have no experience in building a site. I have also been looking and evaluating Drupal, until I ran into a road block over the weekend. Is WordPress a good choose for me? Mind you I am looking to build a web site not a blog.

    You probably should make friends over at WordPress.ORG (see above for the link). Since you are thinking about WordPress on your own server.

    A quick look at your site looks like a WordPress.ORG install would work fine for your site.

    I would love to use WordPress.org – But I can not get registered every time I sign up I never receive a password, I have registered using each of my 3 e-mail accounts. I have tried password recovery and still no password. I have sent 3 e-mails to the e-mail address provided still nothing – Frustrating!!

    The WordPress.org system does recognize my e-mail addresses but will not send me a password. I have check my junk mail folder and still nothing

    How can I get a Password??

    I’m afraid we can’t help. But you can download the software and upload it to your own webspace without a password, can’t you? It’s necessary to ask questions in the forum, but basic install questions have been answered a thousand times already. You can just read the pre-existing answers.

    I went through that same living hell at WordPress.org too. I finally got a username account and yet when I use it every post I make goes into the spam filter (Akismet). I asked here for a contact link for contacting somone there and I got the circle dance. Thereafter I got all my support privately from a friend.
