    I have written a novel and want to sell it as an ebook on my own site. Is word press able to help me with that?

    Hi there,

    You can definitely do this using a WordPress.com site, yes. There’s a few possibilities, depending on how integrated you want it and how much you want to spend:

    On the Free and Personal Plan, you can collect payments using a simple PayPal Buy Now button. You get the button code from PayPal, and add it to your site using a custom HTML block:

    Combine that with a contact form for people to send an order and proof of payment, and then you can send them the file to download.

    On the Premium Plan you can use our integrated PayPal button. This allows you to create an actual product, with an image, description, price, and a payment button. We handle the setup for you on this end, so no need to manually generate code on PayPal’s end and add it to your site.

    The rest will still be manual via a contact form.

    On the Business Plan you can use the WooCommerce plugin to create an online store to sell your ebook as a digital/downloadable product. You’ll be able to integrate payment gateway plugins to allow debit and credit card purchases via any number of payment processes, and once someone pays they’ll automatically have access to the file to download from your site.
