Is WordPress too advanced for me?
-
everyone I’ve spoken to says WordPress is the best, but I am completely flummoxed by the wordpress.com site, and find it less than intuitive for setting up my blog. I’ve got my theme chosen, put up a picture, but I’m trying to add pages and I keep getting directions to go to dashboard > write > page. There is no such link that I can see on my Dashboard. Help! I am frustrated!! Do I need to know CSS to use WordPress? I am a content writer not a developer. Please, help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I suppose only you can answer your question, but have you looked at any of the documents, tutorials or videos?
Specifically this:

Have you explored the FAQ?:

I have the same problem, I am new, taking over from someone else a group based blog, and on my Dashboard I see no options to edit pages or anything else, all I see is blog stats, blog sufer, my comments, tag surfer, subscriptions and readomattic. am I just missing something thats right in front of me, I have clicked on every option I can find and still I see no way of adding or deleteing pages etc.

On your dashboard, you should see a vertical menu on the left, under the house picture. There should be either a bunch of little pictures (thumbtack, music-player, chain, stack of paper, comment balloon, dot and so on) or those pictures with labels next to them. To add a new post, choose posts, and add new.

Here are lots of videos about using WordPress:

You can see the menu I’m referring to on the left side of this video:
