Is WordPress.org or WordPress.com better for my needs?

    Hello,

For the last several months, I have develped a blog/website using WordPress.com. I also paid for a domain: http://www.ColoradoOutdoorsMag.com. The site was built using the Twently Eleven theme.

Hiowever, I want to make sure that using WordPress.com is the best platform for my goals. We are using this site as an online presence for our print magazine. Overall, I’m happy with the layout I’ve developed but I wanting to be aware of any caveats before out site goes public. Or, is using WordPress.com just fine for this purpose?

Thanks in advance for any advice/suggestions.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

In general WP.com is fine for posting content. In fact, it’s better than WP.org for SEO reasons and security as well.

    BUT

If you want to do something like take subscriptions or do ecommerce, you’ll need to go with WordPress.ORG.

Also: there is no www in your URL. That’s considered somewhat antiquated now.

    Thanks for the info.

I have an 800# and a link to another website for people to order magazine subscriptions. Will this get me removed from WordPress.com, or is that okay?

There is no problem with those.
