Is WP a free software like Moodle?

    Hello.

    I want to know if it is possible to download and install WP on a server for free, or if it is not possible and we have to pay for it.
    I want to create my own website and I am considering about using WordPress, but I don’t know if it is a free software like ‘Moodle’.
    You know what I mean? Can you give me an answer?

    WordPress is an open-source software that can be downloaded at WordPress.org and WordPress.com is a service using this open-source software.

    If you want to create your site on a hosting service like GoDaddy, Bluehost, etc, you can install WordPress.org on those servers following the steps at https://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress
