  so let say i want to host my own website. i buy domain name and i can install Apache server in my computer and I can host my own website. I can put html files (my website files) in one of Apache folder that is designated for that. I understand that process but not with WP.org?
  If I want to host my own website and if wp.org is not webserver then I need Apache server or IIS server to make my computer a server but then how WP.org will fit there?

  WordPress.org only supplies software. Most bloggers don’t run their own servers, as that’s quite technical. They just buy hosting from hosting companies that run servers. If you want to run your own server then yes, you need to buy a server. You need to use server management software. You need to install software from WordPress.org, and you need to contact your internet service provider and sign up for a server package, which is generally more expensive.
