Isn't the comment blacklist supposed to block the keywords, names, URLs entered

The comment blacklist in the discussion page doesn’t seem to be working. Some of the keywords which I’ve blocked still get in as spam. That is, WordPress marks them as spam but doesn’t block them. Shouldn’t these be blocked entirely?

    Example:

    I’ve blocked the following

    thetreadmillreviews
    thetreadmillreviews.com
    treadmill

Yet, I continue to get spam mail from these.

I would like WordPress.com to block all suspected spam entirely, not to hold it in a spam pool which appears to be essentially the same thing as a comment moderation queue.

  • Items matched in the blacklist are sent directly to the spam folder. They are not automatically deleted.

When comments are marked as spam, you do not receive an email notification, and they are automatically deleted after a set amount of days.
