  i thought wordpress was free.
  i have a domain and elementor.
  i am trying to upload elemntor to WordPress and continue… but it says I have to pay. wh?y

  We do indeed have a free plan: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  However, using plugins like Elementor here will require a paid Business or eCommerce plan: https://wordpress.com/support/plugins/

  but i have done it in the past for free
  with elemntor.
  is it because i had my own domain and not a WordPress one?
