Isn’t wp-config.php a major security loophole??

    Ok so I’m setting up WordPress for the first time and its saying I need to put in all my FTP information right into this wp-config.php….Can’t anyone just go to the root of my site and then view this php file to get all my ftp information? Or am I not understanding something correctly…
