Isola Theme Issues on Android
-
I created a website using the Isola theme. It shows up fine in all computer browsers, and on iPhone, but I have issues with it in Android:
Kindle Fire and non-iPhone smart phone:
– header image does not show up
– the menu icon does not show up
– interestingly, if I tap the rightmost edge of the top title bar, the search window appears, but there is no search icon to indicate it was there
– tapping left side (where menu should be) does nothing. I am essentially stuck on the main page and cannot navigate elsewhereSamsung Galaxy tablet 10 inch
– works as it should
Samsung Galaxy tablet 7 inch
– in portrait works as it should
– in landscape it only shows the main page content. No title bar, no header image, no menu icon, or search icon. Nothing I do makes these things appear.I am having these issues on http://wolfenwideweb.com , but I noticed the same thing happening on the theme’s live demo page as well: http://isolademo.wordpress.com/
I do not have custom CSS on this site.
Please advise

I’ve viewed your site on an iPhone 6 in Safari and on a Nexus 4 in both Chrome and Firefox, and they all look identical. I can’t replicate any of the issues you’ve mentioned with this theme.
Can you please try clearing out your cache and cookies?
If I’ve misunderstood the issue, or if you have any other questions, please let me know.

@pmciano, as I mentioned in my original post, these issues only appear in Android browsers. All regular browsers and iPhone look fine. I have tested this on the Kindle Fire, an Android phone, and two Samsung tablets, and that is where the problems occur. They are persistent and seem to be an issue with the theme as a whole.

A Nexus 4 is an Android device (running Android 4.4.4) and, as I stated, I tested your site in both the Chrome and Firefox Android browsers.
Have you tried clearing the browser caches on the devices you’ve used, as I suggested?

If you are still having a problem, let me know, and we can take the next troubleshooting step, once I get more feedback.

If possible, send me a screenshot, so I can better understand the issue. You can simply upload the screenshot to your Media Library, like any other image, and I’ll be able to access it from there.
The pages at the following links have some helpful tips for taking screenshots:

Also, can you verify the browser/device combinations you are using when you see the issue?
Once I get some feedback, we can take the next troubleshooting step in resolving your issue.

I had trouble with the screen capture so I took photos. Here they are, with descriptions:
Kindle Fire (horizontal orientation): Header image does not appear, menu icon is missing
Kindle Fire (vertical orientation): Same problem
Samsung 7″ tablet (vertical orientation): Site appears as it should. Header image and menu icon are visible
Samsung 7″ tablet (horizontal orientation): No header image, no title bar, no menu.
And this is what happens when I try to scroll down. I get that blue shading at the top that tells me there is nothing more there, and the title bar does not appear.
Hope this helps!

Correction: The scrolling issue happens when I try to scroll up (not down) and it happens on the Samsung 7″ tablet in horizontal orientation.

I appreciate the screenshots.
I’m having our theme team investigate the issue and will let you know once I have an update.
Thank you for your patience.

This issue is still being worked on, and I will let you know once it is resolved.
In the interim, if there is another theme you want, let me know, and I will enable you to add it to your site.
Thank you for your continuing patience.
