Issue changing ‘latest stories’ photos

    Hello. I am having issue changing my ‘latest stories’ photos. When I change one, they all automatically change to it when i want them to be different. Any advice? Can you screenshare?

    Are the desired images to be used on this space already located in your media library? Can you tell me which image should go with each of those latest post stories? Thanks!

    Hello Zinnia. I believe I have found the answer to my own question. I needed to replace the “Featured Image” within the story’s ‘Post’ settings. Thank you for responding.

    Actually, I may still be having issues. The image should only go with “A Florida Foodie’s Choice”. The other photos I’d like to use are in the media library but when I change one it changes all 3 photos to the same one. Do you know how to fix?

    Hi! It sounds like you might be swapping out the image in the Query Loop block, if I understand correctly? If they’re all changing, then that’s possibly because you’re using a standard Image block to swap out the image – there’s actually a dedicated Post Featured Image block to go with the featured image function you found earlier.

    I’d definitely suggest swapping out the regular Image block for a Post Featured Image block – the latter will automatically pick up the featured images you’ve set in the posts’ settings!

    I have been watching Youtube videos with the closest WordPress edition to ensure I’m following the right steps. I have gone in and applied a “Set Featured Image” for each post but when I view the updated site on another page the thumbnail photos are still showing the same one image for all 3 posts. Is it possible this is because the site isn’t launched?

    Hi @shaniekan, the posts have the correct images, so the problem is with the section that displays those posts. It was showing the same static image for each one rather than using a placeholder. Can you check to see if it’s right now?

    If not, I’d recommend just re-adding the query block so you can get it as you’d like it.

    • Edit the template here
    • Click where it says Latest Stories and you should get a plus sign
    • Type /query to add a query loop block
    • You can pick a template… lots of options.

    And that one should have the correct featured images in it. Then you can delete the other query loop block.
