Issue Mapping a Subdomain
-
Hello – I have a domain with godaddy.com and want to set up the blog I have through your service to be under the subdomain: news.big-exchange.com.
Can you give me an idea of how to accomplish this or point me to a resource that explains it? I have looked at: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/ but it’s not working.
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there!
Please tell me if you’ve already set up your CNAME record for your subdomain through GoDaddy.
If not, take a look at GoDaddy’s support page and click, “Adding or Editing CNAME Records.”
https://support.godaddy.com/help/article/680/managing-dns-for-your-domain-names
Once that’s done, we can set up the mapping to your subdomain.
Thanks so much!

Hey again!
Thanks for the info. That’s great.
The problem is occurring as you’ve mapped your blog directly to the domain: big-exchange.com. However, you’ll want to map your WordPress.com blog to your subdomain, news.big-exchange.com.
My suggestion is to cancel your current mapping here:
https://bigexchangeorl.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=my-upgradesOnce that’s done, you can map your WordPress.com site directly to the full URL, news.big-exchange.com..
Let me know how that works out for you, and if I can help further.
Thanks so much!
