Issue Newsletter using Jetpack on Filtered Articles

    Hi everyone,

    I created a website using WordPress Premium, thus relying on Jetpack for Newsletter, Stats, and so on. Everything worked except for the following issue :

    I added a subscription block that I cautiously filtered on the Newsletter Settings (Jetpack Service) to only send articles with a specific (and unique) category called “digest”. I have tested it on several emails accounts, subscribing to only said category for the past 3 weeks. Nonetheless every time I publish a new article I receive an email (as well as all subscribers) even though I (as well as them) chose to only receive “digest” articles. By the way, I register my articles before publishing to cautiously choose the right category. So no error on the side of misclassification.

    It would be great if anyone has any insight on this issue.

  • Hi there!

    When you enable categories, your subscribers will be automatically subscribed to all existing categories. Subscribers can control which categories they subscribe to by visiting “Manage Subscriptions” in the Reader or by clicking the footer of a newsletter email they received.

    As you are the site owner, you will also get an email for all new posts.

    If you are sure a subscriber has only chosen the ‘digest‘ category and nothing else, please contact us by email via https://wordpress.com/help/contact – there you can share an example user/email address (please don’t share on thus public forum) and then we can check in more detail from there.
