Issue recovering an old account
-

I’m looking to recover an old account, but I don’t have access to my old college email that the site was registered to. Obviously I don’t have any of the information – transaction ID, activation URL or key, or two factor authentication codes. I’m trying to see if there is any way I can verify with some other information. I guess also I don’t need it to be recovered to that same account but I want the site transferred to my current active wordpress account.
The site URL I need recovered is: https://voronoiip.wordpress.com/ and the email it was registered to was (email visible only to moderators and staff)
Thanks,
Julie
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Julie! Generally the only verification methods we’re able to use are detailed in the account recovery document/form:
https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/Generally without one of those then we’re somewhat limited in what we can do; in such a situation then if there’s personal information on your blog, you may request that we set it to private so that search engines and users can’t access it.

Is it impossible even if I can verify using details of any kind of transaction info? like card info that I used for the payment, etc? Please let me know. I had a similar issue in the past on squarespace and they were able to resolve.
Thanks,

Hi there,
Generally, card info is not considered acceptable proof of ownership on WordPress.com. However, please email our account recovery team at passwordhelp@wordpress.com with all the details (including the link to your site). The team will be happy to look into your case and advise further.
