Issue Regarding Publishing a Post
-
Hello. I recently posted a blog on my site, and when after initial upload time, everything seemed fine. About ten hours later, I am alerted by readers that it ended abruptly. I took a look and realized about half of my post was deleted. After reverting it back into a draft, it turns out it was deleted from WordPress’s editor as well. It appears I cannot revert to an earlier form of the draft at all. Is there any way I can recover the portion of my post that was lost?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
We’re really sorry to hear that..
Can you check if the post still appears here:
https://erfrancowrites.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php
If the post exists in that list, you can click it. At the right panel you should be able to browse all of the post’s previous revisions and restore it if it is available.
Let us know how it goes!
Thanks,

Thank you so much. Fortunately, the entire post was archived in an earlier revision. Will I need this link to access previous versions of drafts or is it accessible normally through the WordPress editor? Also, does this sort of issue occur often? These drafts are proof that it saved, but I have no idea how half of it disappeared afterit was uploaded.

Hi Eric,
Unfortunately it is hard to say. If I have to take a guess, it may be because of an intermittent internet connection issue whereby the post is saved, but didn’t manage to post in time.

You can access this from My Sites > Blog Posts > Edit > Status > Revisions – but it’ll lead you back to the same link you’re in now.
Let us know if you have any further questions.
Thanks,
Gideon
