Issue Sharing Posts To Social Media

Since last Tuesday afternoon whenever I try and share a blog post with facebook or twitter, I’m not getting a preview of the post (image and excerpt). Earlier the same day everything was fine and working as it normally does. It’s been a week now and I’m still having this issue, anyone else having this issue or have a solution to the problem?

OK so I’ve just tried sharing a recent post and the issue seems to be at the share box level after you click the desired share destination as the post image and excerpt are showing up on the social media pages.
There does seem to be issues going on with wordpress recently with the site doing weird things like this, being really slow, when trying to highlight something in a post the curse jumps around and wants to highlight more than what you want it to, also if you are not signed in to twitter before hand when you try and share the post, it just brings up an empty tweet box and you have to go back, re-add the info you want in the tweet and then it post again for it to work.
Wordpress used to be so reliable and now it seems to be going a little down hill… and don’t get me started on the new blog themes that are all the same and no good for a blog such as mine that needs a magazine type theme.
